Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are between you and DuoTask ("we", "us"). They govern your use of the DuoTask Spark website at duotask.app and the DuoTask Spark iOS app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What DuoTask Spark does

The Service helps households — couples, friends and housemates — track shared tasks and the rewards they define for each other. Tasks, points and rewards are created and agreed by the members of each household. Every reward is optional: nobody is obliged to offer, accept or fulfil a reward, and we are not a party to any arrangement between household members. Rewards have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your login details secure, and for anyone you invite into your household through an invite code. Provide accurate information when you sign up.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• harass, coerce, threaten or pressure anyone, in or out of your household;
• post unlawful, non-consensual, exploitative or sexually explicit content involving any person who has not consented, or anyone under 18;
• upload photos or content you do not have the right to share;
• interfere with the Service, scrape it, or access another household's data;
• misrepresent who you are or break any applicable law.

We may suspend or remove accounts or content that break these rules.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add, including photos attached to surprise rewards. You grant us a limited license to store, process and display that content solely to operate the Service — for example, showing a reward photo to the household member it was created for after they complete the linked task. You confirm you have the rights and any needed consent for the content you upload.

6. Payments

The Service is currently preparing for launch. If we introduce paid features or subscriptions, pricing, billing, cancellation and refund terms will be presented before you are charged, and purchases made through the Apple App Store are also subject to Apple's payment terms.

7. Availability and changes

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Features may change as the app evolves, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update these Terms from time to time; we will post changes here and update the date above, and continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for any reward, promise or arrangement between household members, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any amount over the greater of US$100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where your local consumer-protection law gives you rights that cannot be waived.
